Cartessa Tetra Coolpeel Co2 Laser Resurfacing
FOR THE FACE AND WHOLE BODY
So, What Is The Tetra Co2 Cool-peel?
- The Tetra CO2 Cool-Peel is a chemical peel that uses carbon dioxide (CO2) to achieve superior results. Though traditional CO2 treatments are associated with long recovery periods, this technology offers more precision and control, meaning you can reap all the benefits without extended downtime or risks.
- The Cool-Peel only treats the affected tissue and leaves the healthy cells behind
Why Choose The Tetra Co2 Cool-peel?
- The Tetra CO2 Cool-Peel is a superior chemical peel offered to our patients in the Zionsville area. Radiant Skin usually recommends this skin treatment if you struggle with the following:
- Sun damage: Your skin is more likely to have signs of sun damage if you spend a lot of time outdoors. Going outside without proper protection can lead to dark spots and premature aging.
- Hyperpigmentation: This happens when your skin overproduces melanin, causing dark patches to form on your skin. This is often the result of sun exposure or hormone changes due to pregnancy.
- Acne scars: Unsightly acne scars can make you feel embarrassed. Excessive scar tissue also prevents the growth of healthy new cells. Fine lines and wrinkles: Over time, you may notice that your skin begins to lose elasticity and firmness. Wrinkles are often the first signs of aging on the face.
What If I Want More Dramatic Results?
- Our team at Radiant Skin offers several options for men and women who want more intensive skin treatments at our clinic. If you're looking for dramatic changes, we may recommend cosmetic injectables, like wrinkle relaxers or dermal fillers. These are designed to smooth out lines and plump up hollow areas for a youthful look. Patients can attend a quick skin consultation to learn about their options.

Ablative Vs Non Ablative?
- When it comes to laser skin resurfacing, the two broad categories are ablative and nonablative lasers. Nonablative lasers deliver energy in the form of heat which can cause improvements in tissue depending on how much energy is used.
- Ablative lasers are specific lasers that can deliver a high amount of energy in a very short period of time.
- The Tetra CO2 laser by Deka is an ablative laser capable of delivering very precise amounts of energy.
What Are The Benfits Of Coolpeel?
- CoolPeel provides a lot of what an aggressive laser treatment offers but everything is less. This includes downtime, discomfort, and cost.
- Most commonly, patients who get a CoolPeel prefer the quicker recovery and are better able to schedule multiple CoolPeels rather than take a week or two off for an aggressive laser resurfacing. The CoolPeel option available on the Tetra requires 2-3 days of downtime/redness. At this point, the only noticeable difference is that your skin will look normal, but it will feel slightly rough to touch for 1-2 weeks. Once you pass the rough skin stage of healing, your skin will feel tighter, softer, and look more even.
- Results of the CoolPeel laser are less drastic than one aggressive treatment. I often recommend a series of CoolPeels to maximize the results. Typically, patients will choose to have 2-3 treatments for maximal benefit.
- When receiving CoolPeel treatment, the pain is minimal. Oftentimes, you do not need anything to aid in the discomfort. We do offer a topical numbing cream for patients who prefer it. This is a stark difference from traditional aggressive laser treatments where oftentimes you need a sedated IV or a complete general anesthetic.
