Please review all pre and post instructions prior to signing consent for all treatments.
By providing your consent for these procedures, you acknowledge and agree to the following care instructions.
DO NOT ICE TREATMENT AREA
- Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Injectables should not be administered if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Allergies: Allergies to any ingredients in the injectable products (e.g., shellfish allergies for products containing hyaluronic acid or lidocaine).
- Neurological Disorders: Conditions such as epilepsy, myasthenia gravis, or other neurological disorders can be contraindications.
- Autoimmune Disorders: Certain autoimmune conditions might affect how your body responds to injectables or increase the risk of complications.
- Active Skin Infections or Inflammation: Conditions like eczema, psoriasis, or active acne in the treatment area can increase the risk of complications.
- Recent Facial Surgery or Trauma: Recent surgical procedures or trauma to the treatment area can affect healing and increase the risk of complications.
- Blood Disorders: Conditions like hemophilia or other bleeding disorders may increase the risk of bruising and bleeding.
- Pregnancy: Aesthetic injectables are generally contraindicated during pregnancy due to unknown effects on the fetus.
- Bruising: Common and typically resolves within a couple of weeks.
- Swelling: Can occur at the injection site and usually subsides within a few days to a week.
- Redness: May occur immediately after the injection and generally fades within a few hours to a few days.
- Pain or Discomfort: Mild pain or discomfort at the injection site is common and can be managed with over-the-counter pain relievers.
- Infection: Risk of infection at the injection site, which can be minimized with proper hygiene.
- Allergic Reactions: Rare, but can occur, especially if there is a known allergy to one of the injectable components.
- Skin Sensitivity: Increased sensitivity or tenderness in the treated area.
- Nodules or Lumps: Can occur if the product is not evenly distributed or if there is an inflammatory response.
- Asymmetry: Uneven results can occur and may require additional treatments to correct.
10.Displacement of Product: Movement of the product from the intended area, potentially requiring additional correction.
11.Scarring: Rare, but possible, especially if the injection leads to an infection or other adverse reaction.
After 72 Hours:
- Resume your normal skincare routine, UNLESS otherwise instructed by your provider and use SPF daily, provided the treated area is no longer inflamed.
- Follow-Up Treatment Schedule: If on a package or series, confirm your next treatment appointment. It is recommended to have 3-4 treatments sometimes 6 depending on the treatment, with maintenance sessions every 6 months and annual repeats to enhance and sustain results and collagen production.
- For Best Results:
- Medical-Grade Skin Care: Use recommended products suited for your skin needs. Ask for assistance if unsure.
- Hydration: Continue with Aquafacials or Dermaplaning.
- Complementary Treatments:
- Skin Wave Aquafacial: Schedule before your next Virtue RF treatment to boost hydration and collagen production.
- CO2 Cool Peel: Consider for maximizing results.
- Botox: Consider injections at the end of your treatment series to maintain wrinkle reduction.
- Collagen Supplements and Hyaluronic Acid Topicals: Use to improve skin tone and volume.
Pre-Treatment: Schedule a Skin Wave Aquafacial before your next treatment to boost hydration and collagen production.
Advanced Treatments: Consider stacking a CO2 Cool Peel to maximize results.
Maintenance: Continue with medical-grade skincare, take oral collagen supplements, and use hyaluronic acid topicals.
Botox injections at the end of your treatment series can help maintain wrinkle reduction.
- Allergy to Hyaluronic Acid: Known allergy to hyaluronic acid or any of the components used in the filler.
- Active Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) Outbreaks: History of cold sores or herpes simplex virus, particularly if the area to be treated is prone to outbreaks.
- Allergy to Botulinum Toxin: Known allergy to botulinum toxin or its components.
- Muscle or Nerve Disorders: Conditions such as myasthenia gravis or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
- Current or Recent Infection at the Injection Site: Active infections or inflammation in the area to be treated.
- Infection or Inflammation in the Treatment Area: Active infections or inflammatory conditions in the area where threads will be inserted.
- Allergy to PDO Material: Known allergy or hypersensitivity to polydioxanone (PDO).
1. Blood Disorders: Conditions such as thrombocytopenia or other blood disorders affecting platelet count.
2. Active Infections: Active infections in the area of treatment or systemic infections.
- Active Skin Infections: Active infections or inflammatory conditions in the area to be treated.
- Severe Bruising or Vascular Disorders: History of severe bruising or vascular disorders that might affect the treatment area.
Additional Notes
- Anticoagulant Use: Use of blood thinners or anticoagulants should be discussed with your healthcare provider, as they can increase the risk of bruising and bleeding.
- Recent Cosmetic Procedures: Recent cosmetic procedures in the treatment area may require a waiting period before receiving injectables.
- Consult with a qualified healthcare provider to determine if aesthetic injectables are appropriate for you, based on your individual health history and current condition.
Health Considerations
- Injectables cannot be administered if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, allergic to any ingredients, or have neurological disorders. If you are unsure about any of these conditions, please inform us before your appointment.
Medication Restrictions:
- Blood Thinners: Avoid over-the-counter medications such as Aspirin, Motrin, Ibuprofen, and Aleve for 1 week prior to your treatment. Consult your physician if you are on Aspirin for medical reasons before discontinuing. If you are on prescription blood thinners, consult your primary care physician before treatment.
Supplement Avoidance:
- Refrain from taking supplements like St. John’s Wort, ginkgo biloba, primrose oil, garlic, ginseng, and Vitamin E for 1 week before your treatment.
Topical Product Restriction:
- Avoid using Tretinoin (Retin-A), Retinols, Retinoids, Glycolic Acid, or other anti-aging products for 3 days prior to the procedure.
Hair Removal:
- Avoid waxing, bleaching, tweezing, or using hair removal creams on the treatment area for 3 days prior.
Substance Restrictions:
- Do not consume alcoholic beverages, prescription pain medications, smoke, or use illegal substances for 48 hours before your appointment.
Cold Sore Information:
- Inform us if you are prone to cold sores. If you have had a cold sore within the last 10 days or feel one developing, please reschedule your appointment prior to the 48 hour policy. If you have a history of cold sores, you may need to pretreat with antivirals for 5-7 days prior to injections to avoid serious post injectable complications.
Scheduling:
- Schedule your dermal filler or volume replacement appointment at least 2-3 weeks before any special event to account for potential bruising.
- Day of Treatment
- Allergy Notification: Notify us of any allergies to shellfish or Lidocaine or any other numbing agents.
- Clean Face: Arrive with a clean, makeup-free face.
- Anesthesia Application: Topical or injectable anesthetic may be applied to maximize comfort during the procedure.
- Pre-Treatment Care: Eat a protein-rich meal before your appointment. Consider taking 1000 mg of Tylenol if needed for pain management.
- Active Skin Infections: Active infections in the treatment area.
- Allergy to Sculptra Ingredients: Known allergy to any components of Sculptra.
- Take daily photos for at least 3 days and on day 10. Text them to our secure line or bring them to your follow-up appointment.
Results Information
- Remember that aesthetic treatments are elective and results can vary.
- Neurotoxins may take 3-7 days to start showing results and up to 14 days for full effect. Fillers, PRP, and DermaGel may continue to settle over 2-4 weeks.
- PDO threads require specific post-care to avoid complications.
Face Washing:
- Gently wash your face with a mild antibacterial soap the evening of the injections.
- Avoid harsh scrubbing.
- Wash in upward motions with light touch.
Ointment/Cream Use:
- Do not apply any ointments or creams unless instructed by your provider.
Makeup Restriction:
- Avoid applying makeup over injection sites for a minimum of 24 hours to minimize the risk of infection. Use antibacterial barrier cream if necessary.
Headwear Avoidance:
- Refrain from wearing hats or headbands for 24-48 hours.
- Wash /disinfect glasses, sunglasses or any other items worn near the treatment area.
Facial Activities Restriction:
- Avoid facials, rubbing, massaging the treated area, and using clarisonic devices for 2 weeks.
Activity Avoidance:
- Do not lie down or engage in strenuous exercise for 4-6 hours after treatment.
- Avoid Cardiovascular activity for 72 hours post HA Fillers
- Avoid Cardiovascular activity for 48 hours post all other injectables.
Additional Restrictions:
- Avoid saunas, LED light therapy, hot tubs, swimming pools, massages, direct sun, or tanning beds for 48 hours.
Pain Relief:
- Take regular strength Tylenol for discomfort; avoid aspirin, Excedrin, or ibuprofen.
Bruising Management:
- Apply arnica gel or CBD cream and consider consuming arnica or bromelain tablets to reduce bruising.
- Do not ice the area, as it restricts blood flow.

- Avoid touching or applying any products to the treated areas for 24 hours.
- Expect some redness and swelling, which should subside within a few days.
- Leave Bandages on the port sites for 24 hours.
- Schedule your follow-up Cryo T Shock tissue stimulation treatment for 72 hours post-injection. Bruising is expected but should be manageable.
- Apply Arnica Gel to the area
- Take oral Arnica to reduce bruising.
- Take Bromelain to reduce bruising.
- Massage the treated area 5 times a day for 5 days as instructed. Use arnica (both oral and topical) to aid in the massage and reduce bruising.
- Follow general post-care instructions for injectables. Apply a soothing moisturizer and avoid direct sun exposure.
- Drooping Eyelids or Eyebrows: Caused by the spread of the neurotoxin to unintended areas.
- Headaches: Mild headaches can occur in a small percentage of patients.
- Flu-like Symptoms: Rarely, patients may experience symptoms similar to the flu.
- Double Vision or Difficulty Swallowing: Extremely rare but serious complications associated with muscle weakness.
- Allergic Reactions: Rare, but can include symptoms such as itching, rash, or more severe reactions.
- Overcorrection or Undercorrection: Results in excessive or insufficient volume.
- Vascular Occlusion: Rare but serious complication where the filler accidentally enters a blood vessel, leading to tissue necrosis.
- Granulomas: Formation of small lumps or nodules due to an inflammatory response.
- Infection: Can occur if proper hygiene is not maintained.
- Migration: Movement of the filler from the intended area, causing uneven appearance.
- Thread Migration or Visibility: Threads may move or become visible under the skin.
- Infection: Risk of infection at the thread insertion sites.
- Tissue Irregularities: Formation of lumps or uneven areas in the treated region.
- Thread Breakage: Threads may break or snap, especially if post-care instructions are not followed.
- Injection Site Bruising: Common and usually resolves within a few days.
- Infection: Risk at the injection site, particularly if hygiene protocols are not followed.
- Swelling: Can be more pronounced in some individuals.
- Allergic Reactions: Although rare, allergic reactions to the PRP components can occur.
- Bruising: Common and can be significant in some cases.
- Swelling and Pain: Pain or swelling in the treated areas.
- Infection: Risk of infection at the injection sites.
- Skin Changes: Rarely, there can be changes in skin texture or color.
Additional Complications
- Hyperpigmentation or Hypopigmentation: Changes in skin color can occur, especially in darker skin tones.
- Skin Necrosis: Rare but serious complication where skin tissue dies due to impaired blood flow or infection.
- Anaphylaxis: Severe allergic reaction requiring immediate medical attention, though extremely rare.
Always consult with a qualified medical professional to discuss potential risks and to ensure that injectables are appropriate for your individual circumstances.
- Nodules or Lumps: Formation of lumps under the skin due to the product.
- Swelling and Bruising: Common and generally resolves over time.
- Infection: Risk of infection at the injection site.
- Asymmetry: Uneven results requiring possible correction.
- Avoid heavy lifting, extreme facial expressions, cardiovascular activity, and lying on the implanted area for at least 4 weeks.
- Contact us if you feel any threads are protruding or have other concerns.
- HA fillers will continue to plump and settle for 2-4 weeks.
- Avoid excessive alcohol and salt intake to reduce swelling.
- Use mild heat the following day to relieve discomfort.
- Results typically start to appear in 3-7 days and are fully active in 10-14 days. Daxxify may take 3 weeks to fully set in, and you might experience a “heavy feeling” between days 10-15.
- We cannot do adjustments prior to 10 days post injections for your safety.
- Appointment Scheduling: If on a package or series, confirm your next treatment appointment.
- Treatment Frequency: 3-4 treatments initially, with maintenance every 6 months; repeat annually to sustain results and collagen production.
Post-Treatment Completion:
- Photos: Submit post-treatment photos to help your provider track anti aging progression and share results.
- Reviews: Share your experience with a review on Google or Facebook
- Sun Protection: Use sunscreen consistently to protect your results.
- Schedule your follow up treatment plan to maintain your results and continue your recommended treatment plan.
